Here’s what happens after you propose someone...

One

Our Propose One platform will send an email in your name informing this person of your sponsorship proposal, and inviting them to complete their proposal form.

Two

You will be notified when this person completes their membership proposal form. Our Propose One platform will then ask you to add your digital signature to their completed membership proposal form. You will also be able to make any additional comments in support of their membership.

Please note that this online process does not represent any change to our sponsorship or membership approval processes or requirements.

Three

After you and the second sponsor have signed the completed membership proposal form, we will provide more information and additional resources to help you begin the Reference Letter Collection stage for this person. Additional letters can be submitted to membership@southernyachtclub.org or commodore@southernyachtclub.org at any time in the process.

Please note we will clarify to them that this is not a direct offer of membership, simply an opportunity for them to explore membership based on your recommendation as an SYC member in good standing.

If the proposed member does not reply to their invitation, we will not persist with further communications regarding SYC.

Your proposed member will be reviewed by the governing committee at one of its quarterly meetings held in February, May, August, and November.
