North Hills Country Club becomes many things to many members, and to the delight of all, it’s also right here.

Just a few minutes and a few miles from New York City on Long Island’s Gold Coast is a place that is home for an extended family of friends who love to dine well, compete often, and celebrate always.

The drive here is easy – but the scenic route to the 18th hole takes every trick in the book…and keeps golfers returning. Journey over sweeping fairways, sparkling ponds, and greens gently contoured to the flow of the woodlands, and often to the fanfare of tournament shotgun starts and Club glory.

Even course architecture is a tale of generational talent. Originally designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1962, it was renowned U.S. Open-shaper Rees Jones who recently reinvigorated his father’s North Hills legacy with rebuilt bunkers and a new short game practice facility. Pair it with our PGA instruction, and enjoy the game of a lifetime.

The tennis garden is where the sounds of match points, themed socials, and tournament banter can be heard year-round across six courts. Groomed daily, their Har-Tru surfaces stay easy on the joints, while the Pro Shop keeps strings taut and demo racquets on the move.

Seen around the net: our new Pickleball program complete with lined courts and lessons, his-and-her tennis groups, seasonal youth clinics, and the can't-miss prosecco-powered Husband/Wife Doubles Tennis Championship.

All outings and celebrations point back to the Clubhouse, where an expansive new 3-tiered patio gathers families and friends for golden-hour toasts, casual tapas, and famed feasts like the surf-and-turf Shore Dinner extravaganza.

Connecting all daily menus and holiday gatherings is a culinary program known around Long Island for its seasonal specialties…and of course, its chicken parm. After dinner in the Governor's Room, there’s no better nightcap than heading below deck for a few frames in the Club’s six-alley bowling room. Activate the automatic bumpers for the kids and let the good times roll.

THAT GOLD COAST

Any self-respecting Long Island retreat needs a splash zone, and pool season is one of our best looks. Summer keeps the lanes swirling with pool parties, swim instruction, and Long Island Swim League meets for friend-making and team-building.

As the sun dips, the scene above water level is equally active with weekly barbecues, Friday Happy Hours, and sunset DJ sets. Elsewhere on the social calendar, trivia and bingo nights bring out the families while the adults-only Summer Pool Soiree promises an elaborate poolside buffet and open bar.
