The Capital Planning Committee would like to thank the many members who participated in the Imagine Tomorrow video. We are grateful for everyone’s participation. Many were used in the recording, and all will appear in future written materials.
Thank you — Jim and Sherry Buch, Frank and Evelyn Campbell, Gary and Susie Fisher, Susie Herman, Joe Bob and Jane Kinsel, Ellen and Barry Libert, Jay and Donna Ralph, John Rizzo, Janet Sussman and Glenn and Jackie Tilton.
We also recognize the great group of members and staff who have been working on this project since late March and are posted on this web site. The working group is divided into 3 teams: Funding, Communications and Master Planning.
With the help of other Clubs of our stature and the architectural firm PHX, we are defining the scope of this project to include improvements with a $20M investment over the next 5-6 years.
Today’s low financing rates together with the strong financial position of the Club makes it possible to borrow a large portion of the costs. In addition to the use of some cash on hand and a dues increase with a base case model of about 10%, we will be able to fund the entire project without an assessment.
Projects within the scope have not been prioritized but we are focused on areas that impact the greatest number of members and areas most mentioned by an overall majority in the last two surveys: The Clubhouse/Torreon, the Fitness Center, the Log Cabin and Golf.
We are working with PHX Architecture to define the project scope and then to produce conceptual designs and renderings. Their work is underway.
As we move forward in this process, we will hold small group meetings to communicate progress to membership, and to elicit your feedback. Questions posed will be answered as FAQ’s for all to see.
If you have any questions, please feel free to fill out the form at the bottom of this page, or email us at imaginetomorrow@clublc.com.
